One of these things is not like the others ...

Songs that moved me:

Hallelujah! - specifically, by k.d. lang as performed for the closing ceremony of the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics

Art that moved me:

The Lovers - Fred Ross 1950, National Gallery of Canada

Some movies to see. Not really special in any cinematic way but they spoke to me at the time:

Peaceful Warrior (2006) - "Sometimes you have to lose your mind to come to your senses."

Hachi: A Dog's Story (2009) - because you always belong to your dog.

Equilibrium (2002) - especially the scene when Partridge recites the W.B Yeats poem (Aedh) He Wishes for the Cloths of Heaven by W.B. Yeats published in The Wind Among the Reeds (1899). The poem is alternately interpreted as an expression of unconditional love and ultimate betrayal. This presentation strikes a remarkable balance between the two opinons.
